Founded in February 1983, the Kurdish Institute is an independent, non-political and secular cultural organization, which brings together Kurdish intellectuals and artists from various horizons as well as Western specialists in the Kurdish world.
Its purpose is to maintain the Kurdish community in the knowledge of its language, its history and its cultural heritage, to contribute to the integration of European Kurdish immigrants in their host societies and to make the Kurds known to the Western public as well as their culture, their country and their current situation.
